OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD A grand total of 75 shoe boxes are on their way to make many children happy this Christmas. Many thanks, it was lovely to speak to so many of you, and to know how much you enjoyed collecting items for the gifts. |

| I
know the boxes are a bit difficult to cover, but I’m sure you think
it’s all worthwhile, I certainly do.
Well Done. Doreen Turner |

| BOWLS
CLUB
OBITUARY. It is with sadness I have to report Alan Lewis has passed away after being ill for some time. Alan was a member of our club for a short period but in that time he thoroughly enjoyed it, playing regularly on Wednesday afternoons. |
|
|
Alan was a man who really
liked people and made friends very quickly. Despite ill health he
was always ready for a talk and a smile and never
complained. Our sincere sympathies go out to Lorna and his
family.
May I take this opportunity to wish all the readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year to you all. Further, on behalf of the Bowls Club, many thanks to Martin, David and all the merry gang of helpers who produce and distribute the newsletter. | THANK
YOU
I would like to say a big thank you to all those who sent me cards, letters, flowers and Best Wishes on my recent stay in hospital. They were all greatly appreciated. I am at home now and making a good recovery. It means so much to belong to a caring community. Thanks again, Lorna |
