How not to go about a job interview
On nearing the end of a job interview, the Human Resources person asked the young graduate, fresh out of University, "And what starting salary were you looking for?"
The graduate coolly replied, "Somewhere in the region of £100,000 a year, depending on the benefits package."
The interviewer said, "Well, what would you say to a package of 8 weeks paid holidays, full BUPA, including dental care, company matching retirement fund to 90% of salary, and a new company car every 2 years; for starters, say, a red 7 series BMW?"
The graduate tried to control his excitement, but sat straight up and said, "Wow! Are you kidding?"
"Yes," the interviewer shrugged, "But you started it."
