THE RUDSTON DUCK RACE
The Rudston Duck Race was an even better success than last year, raising a whopping £1498.68, beating last year's amount by nearly £170. Well done to Alan and Richard for organising the event, and to all the helpers involved.

We were blessed with much better weather than last year and the turnout was excellent. The new Village Hall catering facilities were put to the test and everything seemed to be running smoothly.

The crowds line the Gypsey Race, each one trying to pick out their duck from the thousand floating down stream.
Stragglers are guided out of the vegetation along the banks and back into the mass of ducks.

Children and adults wait excitedly for the appearance of the first duck under Eastgate Bridge, close to the finishing line.
