Editor's Piece.

Hello and welcome to this month's Newsletter.

Well it was nice to see that the Village Hall was able to be used for voting on May 5th. I, like many others I'm sure, took this opportunity to have a little nosey around to see how things were going. Although there was still some work to be done, one could certainly get a feel for the place, and of how it is going to look when it is finally finished. I think it is appropriate at this time to thank all those involved in the project, especially the Fund Raising Committee, who have worked tirelessly for a number of years to raise money, through a wide range of events, and the various grants that had to be applied for, to make the refurbishment possible.

You should have recently received a slip through your door, asking for suggestions about the various activities that you would like to see taking place in the hall. If you have a special skill that you could pass on to others, and you don't mind volunteering your time, then get in touch with any of those listed on the slip.

By the time you receive this Newsletter,
(We try to have it printed and distributed for the 1st of the month, but there is no guarantee), the Rudston Duck race may well have taken place. Hopefully, the weather will prove better than last year. There will also be a Summer Duck Race on August 7th, and full details will be announced in next month's Newsletter.
