RUDSTON CHURCH SOCIAL COMMITTEE

Mr Alan Stephenson has kindly offered to organise a Summer Duck Race, in aid of the Church Tower Restoration Fund.

This will take place on Sunday 7th August, at approximately 2 pm. Starting at the Village Hall, where refreshments will be available.

We also hope to have some stalls, and some nearby gardens will be open to visit.

Please make a note in your diary, and let all of your friends know.

Thank you to all who helped, gave and supported at the Low Caythorpe Machinery Sale refreshment stall.

£318 was raised for Church Funds, and a very happy atmosphere prevailed in the refreshment shed.

POLICE MATTERS

Several people, knowing that I go to police meetings as a member of the Parish Council, have recently approached me with matters of concern. They have told me of instances of annoyance etc., which do not seem to warrant a direct approach to the police, but which they feel should be reported. I have recently met our new community beat officer, PC Rachel Shrimpton and asked her advice about this. Her suggestion is that if I make a list I can pass the information on to her, so please let me know. The telephone number is 01723 890464 - there is an answer phone but please be patient, it rings for quite a while - or I can be contacted by email at rudstonchr@aol.com.

To contact PC Shrimpton directly - telephone 0845 60 60 222, extension 2511. A message can be left on the answer phone. Or emails can be sent to Rachel.Shrimpton@humberside.pnn.police.uk.

The Police Communications centre is 0845 60 60 222 for urgent matters. In an emergency dial 999.
