Rudston Youth Club Constitution (Draft)

  1. NAME. The name of the club shall be the Rudston Youth Club.
  2. AIM. To promote and maintain friendly and social activities for Club members and to nurture responsibility and good citizenship for others within and without the Club.
  3. MEMBERSHIP.
a. Membership is open to any person resident in the parish of Rudston.
b. Adult members must be over the age of 18.
c. Youth members must be aged 8 or over.
d. Senior Youth members will attend school in years 8 to 13.
e. Junior Youth  members will attend school in years 3 to 7.
f. Associate membership is open to any person upon application to, and approval by, the Management Committee. Applications must be sponsored by an adult member.

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.

a. The activities of the club shall be controlled by a Management Committee, which shall consist of not less than six adult members elected at an Annual general meeting, plus two Junior Youth Members and two Senior Youth Members.  The Management Committee shall have the power to co-opt not more than 3 additional persons.
b. The Management Committee shall appoint a Chairman, Club Leader, Secretary and Treasurer and such other officers, as they deem necessary.
c. The Management Committee shall meet at least 4 times a year.
d. The duties of the Management Committee shall be to devise methods for achieving the objects of the club and to exercise a general oversight of its activities and to see that the club is conducted in a safe and well organised manner.
e. The Management Committee may delegate any powers to Sub committees. Sub-committees so formed shall in the exercise of powers so delegated conform to any regulations that may be imposed on it by the Management Committee.
f. Nominations for election to the Management Committee must be submitted in writing to the Secretary not less than 7 days before the Annual General Meeting.
g. The property and assets of the Club shall be vested in the Management Committee.
h. Minutes shall be kept and approved by the Committee.
i. A quorum for meetings shall be four members, one of which must be the Chairman or Vice Chairman.
j. The Committee shall have full authority for the enforcement of all
