This delay has been very frustrating for us all but hopefully it will all have been worthwhile.

Plans for the provision of Post Office services are still on-going  and we hope to soon have a date for opening. We would like to incorporate a 'drop-in' facility where you can call in for a drink and a biscuit and a chat with friends after/before your PO business. If you have any thoughts or suggestions about what you would like to have or if anyone could volunteer their help, perhaps on a rota system, please let us know and we will see what can be done.    Perhaps an open meeting to discuss it would be a good idea. Have a think and give us your comments please.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

Following the disaster in London, East Anglian Ambulance Service have launched a national 'In Case of Emergency' (ICE) campaign with the support of Simon Weston, the Falklands war hero.  The idea is that you store the word 'ICE' in your mobile phone address book and against it enter the number of the person you would want to have contacted 'in case of emergency'.
In an emergency situation, ambulance and hospital staff will then be able to find out who your next of kin are and contact them.  (For more than one contact name ICE 1, ICE 2, ICE 3 etc). It really could put a loved one's mind at rest.
