THANK YOU

Many thanks to all my family and friends for the lovely presents and cards I received for my birthday July 6. It was a day to remember. To say that I have lived in Rudston, down Southside Lane, more or less all my life, it must be the Rudston air that keeps me going. Again, many thanks

Headed News from the Bosville Arms Country Hotel.

The great summer wash out is fast coming to an end and we look forward to some fun evenings at the Bosville Arms this autumn and winter. As the temperature starts to drop the coal fires will be lit to make a warm welcome for all who come along to enjoy the company of others in a friendly atmosphere. And of course we come to the regular winter entertainment program that has run for the last few years. The ever-popular fun for all Quiz night (each Thursday night) will be starting in October. Let's all get together, new faces as well as our teams of regulars. Meeting at between 8 and 8.30 pm each week.

On Sunday nights the successful fives and threes mixed domino team start their season; the first league match being at the end of September. Anyone interested in joining in can come along any Friday (practice fun night) or Sunday. Steve Cope, our vicar, is the captain and all are welcome. Monday night sees the resumption of the pool teams attack on the Filey and district league with Charlie Richardson holding sway as captain and happy to have new players. And then on Tuesday evening the most successful team is the ladies darts and dominos team. They are a happy, friendly bunch who go out and win the league trophies on an annual basis. Again, anyone interested should contact their captain Catherine Hogan.

On Friday and Saturday nights the village pub will be open as always for regulars, friends and new faces to come and join in the happy friendly atmosphere we are pleased to herald here at the Bosville. The restaurant will continue to serve its excellent top quality, reasonably priced extensive menu which was recently highly commended by a leading restaurant survey guide

Looking forward to seeing you all soon. Johnathan, Catherine, Eileen and Tony Hogan at the Bosville.

Tony Hogan
