We again had a very successful Open Gardens weekend, and would like to thank everybody who contributed in any way to making it such a happy event in spite of the cold weather! We would like to say a special thank you to the Garden Openers (Mr. & Mrs. S. Dawson, Mr. & Mrs. W. Stephenson, Mr. M. Ineson, Mr. & Mrs. E. Turner, Mr. & Mrs. D. Corner, Mr. & Mrs. T. Allsop, Miss J. Newhouse, Mr. & Mrs. A. Stephenson, Mr. & Mrs. C. Snow, Mr. & Mrs. W. Burgess, Mr. & Mrs. B. Harland, and Mr. & Mrs. F. Wilkins) for their hard work and kindness in making the event such a success. The gardens all looked fantastic despite the previous week's winds and downpours. Thank you, also, to everyone who contributed to, and those who ran the stalls, tombola, and refreshments. So many people were so generous in their giving; it was quite overwhelming. A total of £1,634.18 was raised, for which we are extremely grateful.
