News from the Bosville Arms
Just to remind all interested that the winter!!! yes winter leagues will be starting soon. So on a Sunday night, we have a fives and threes domino team playing in the Hunmanby league. On Tuesdays, we have a ladies darts and Domino team that has an awesome reputation for winning everything in sight, and on a Monday, we have a Pool team who play in the Filey league. All interested in joining in are welcome to come along to the Bosville Arms, meet the various team captains and introduce themselves as possible team members.
Also coming up in September is the Thursday night quiz. It's a fun night for the village, with all welcome old and new. Not too taxing but interesting enough to keep you thinking.
And, finally, just to let all know that Anthony our excellent young chef has introduced a new menu in the last couple of weeks. It really is very good and well worth trying.
News from the Tony Hogan Art Gallery.
New in the gallery is a collection of superb photographs by a new artist 'John'. He's well known throughout the country, having had many one man shows in prestigious venues, so we are very pleased to welcome him to our gallery.
Also new and very exciting is a collection of recent oil paintings by Tony. Several farmers have been interested to find Tony working at six in the morning creating pictures of the stunning August landscape when the light is at its best. One or two wandered across to see if a car had been abandoned in their field, but were quite relieved to find it was just Tony capturing the early morning light. For anyone who loves this wonderful countryside, it is an exhibition worth a few minutes of your time.
