BOWLS CLUB OBITUARY. It is with sadness I have to record that SHEILA HARTLEY passed away at the Princess Royal Hospital. Sheila and her husband John have been members of the Bowls Club for many years and were regular players in the 'C' team. "Cookie", as she was known to many of us, was an active member until about 2 months ago. Unable, due to the distance from home, to help with the cleaning of the pavilion etc., she generously supplied us with all the tea, orange juice etc., to last all our bowling season. Our deepest sympathy goes to John on this sad occasion, and we extend to him our sincere support. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. John sends his sincere thanks to the members of the Bowls Club, following Sheila's passing; also to those who took the time to attend the Service at Swine Church on 12th August.
FINALS DAY will be on Sunday 4th September, starting 2 p.m. We will be pleased to welcome anyone from the village, and their friends, to join us to watch the competitions and have afternoon tea with us. All we need is good weather.
ANNUAL LUNCHEON will be at the Ransdale Hotel, Bridlington on Sunday 27th November 2005. Details will be circulated at a later date.
Pauline Warters. Hon Sec. 420410.
