Rudston is a village in an area known as the Yorkshire Wolds. This is a part of the county of the East Riding of Yorkshire. (The word "Riding" is an ancient term for a part of a county).  As you can see from the map of Great Britain below, the East Yorkshire is situated in the North East part of England.

Rudston is about 30 miles north of the City of Kingston Upon Hull, about 25 miles south of the town of Scarborough and six miles inland from the seaside town of Bridlington.
